Mash Chana Daal Recipe
Mash Chana Daal will blow your mind with its classic desi flavor and aroma that makes it even more irresistible.
Ingredients:
- Gram lentils soaked 1/2 cup
- White lentils soaked 1/2 cup
- Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
Other Ingredients:
- Oil 1/4 cup
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Finely chopped garlic 2 tsp
- Finely chopped onions ½ cup
- Finely chopped tomatoes 1 cup
- Chopped green chilies ½ tsp
- Red chili powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
- All spice Powder ½ tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Dried fenugreek 1 tsp
- Salt as required
- Chopped coriander leaves. 1-2 tbsp
Method:
Drain the lentils and add them to a pressure cooker along with turmeric powder. Add 2.5 to 3 cups water and stir well. On a high flame, pressure cook the lentils for 10 to 11 minutes till the dal is softened and well cooked. Keep the cooked dal aside. For masala in a pan add oil onion and let them golden along with cumin and green chilies add garlic tomatoes, all spices cook well in the last add dried fenugreek coriander and put all this into lentils and serve with rice.
